Terms of Service

Acceptance

By registering for or using LMS Plugin Hub, you accept these Terms. If you do not agree with them, you must not use the service.

The service

LMS Plugin Hub is an independent directory of Moodle™ plugins, run by Studio LXD, S.L. (see the Legal notice). The site is free to use, both for browsing and downloading plugins and for publishing them. There are no subscriptions, payments or paid plans.

We may change these Terms at any time; significant changes will be announced with reasonable notice and, where they affect your obligations, you will be asked to accept them again.

Accounts

You are responsible for all activity under your account. Keep your credentials safe and tell us about any unauthorised access. You can close your account at any time from its settings.

Content you publish, and licensing

By publishing a plugin you represent and warrant that:

  • You are its author or have sufficient permission to distribute it.
  • You license it under a free-software licence compatible with the GPLv3, which is Moodle's licence and the one its plugins must respect.
  • The package contains no malicious code and no material that infringes third-party rights.

You keep authorship and all rights over your plugin. By publishing it you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host it, show it in the catalog and distribute it to whoever downloads it, including the technical copies needed to validate and serve it.

If you publish from a repository, the package is built from that repository's code at the moment each version is published.

Acceptable use

You may not use the service to:

  • Break the law or infringe third-party rights, including intellectual property rights.
  • Publish malicious code, code obfuscated to hide its behaviour, or anything that compromises the installations of those who install it.
  • Claim authorship of others' work, or publish copies of third-party plugins without respecting their licence.
  • Publish low-quality content in bulk, duplicated, or for search-ranking purposes.
  • Make automated use that degrades the service for others.

Moderation and takedowns

Any registered user can report a plugin from its listing, stating a reason. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team.

When a plugin accumulates a significant number of distinct reports in a short period, it is hidden from the catalog as a precaution while it is reviewed. A moderator may also hide or restore it on their own judgement after examining the case.

Whenever a plugin is hidden or becomes available again, we tell its author and state the reason, as required by Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (the Digital Services Act). If you disagree with a moderation decision, you can reply to that notice or write to [email protected] and we will review it.

Publishing a new version that fixes the reported problem returns an automatically hidden plugin to the catalog; plugins hidden by a moderator's decision need a fresh review.

We may suspend or close accounts that breach these Terms.

Third-party plugins

Published plugins are the work of their authors. The automated validation report and the community-reviewed badge are indicative and are not a warranty that a plugin is safe, works correctly or is suitable for your installation. Installing a plugin on your Moodle is your decision and your responsibility; we recommend trying it in a test environment first.

Limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, Studio LXD, S.L. will not be liable for indirect damages arising from use of the service, nor for the operation, security or effects of plugins published by third parties.

Dispute resolution

Any dispute relating to these Terms will first be addressed in good faith between the parties. Failing that, the following section applies.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by Spanish law. For any dispute, the parties submit to the courts of Madrid, waiving any other jurisdiction that might apply.

Language versions

These Terms are available in several languages for convenience. In the event of any discrepancy between versions, the Spanish version prevails.
